Come and sing these songs with me and walk these velvet hills.
What will each new day bring into this world so still?
Oh, to breath this air so sweet and wear this life like silk,
with grateful hearts we reach for this,
this is the gift... this is the gift.
This is the gift,
this chance to laugh and love and live
and kiss the faithful hand that gives.
This is the gift.
So, come and "dance this dance with me" in the garden of these hours.
Watch as our dreams grow into memories like flowers,
then lay us down to sleep to wear a crown of stars
and know for after all this is,
this is the gift... this is the gift.
This is the gift,
this chance to laugh and love and live
and kiss the faithful hand that gives.
This is the gift... this is the gift.

There's a fine line where the dark of night meets the light of day,
and in my minds eye sometimes I look at life that way
There's a time to every song we sing
where the music ends in peace and...
in my heart, there's a place.
Heaven's not that far away,
and we'll all be going home, someday,
I know, there is a place.
There is shelter for every child who ever lost it's way.
There is hope for all the souls who've ever lost their faith.
There's a dream come true for dreamers who
are ready to believe and...
in my heart there's a place.
Heaven's not that far away.
There's memory deep within my soul
and I know... I know...
There's a place where love is always near,
closer than a prayer, drying every tear.
There's a place where grace appears,
always here...
'cause in my heart there's a place.
Heaven's not that far away.
There's memory deep within my soul
and I know... I know...
in my heart, there's a place.
Heaven's not that far away,
and we'll all be going home, someday,
I know, there is a place.

Everybody lives under the clear blue sky
in the light of the sunshine.
No matter who or where we are
we share the light of one star,
so we're not that far apart.
What if everybody prayed?
What if everybody wished for the same thing
with all of our hearts?
What if everybody sang
and all the heavens rang with the wonderful sound
of peace on earth today?
Everybody lives here in this garden green.
It has given us all we need
if love could only open our eyes
to see we feel the same inside
when we laugh or if we cry.
What if everybody prayed?
What if everybody wished for the same thing
with all of our hearts?
What if everybody sang
and all the heavens rang with the wonderful sound
of peace on earth today?
Let your faith resound.
Make a joyful sound.
One wish for peace is all we need
to turn our world around.
What if everybody prayed
What if everybody wished for the same thing
with all of our hearts?
What if everybody sang
and all the heavens rang with the wonderful sound
of peace on earth today?

There's a sun comin' up on another morning
as the darkness fades.
There's a circle of song that the birds are singing
that follows the light of day.
There's a melody in my heart
I've never heard this way before.
There's a light shining in my eyes
that's got me waking up for more, oh...
Thank you for another day,
for another day to live and love this way.
Thank you for another day,
for another day to have this chance to say,
ooo...thank you for another day.
All those years that I thought there was something missing
it was always there.
All those moments of life that I wasn't living
were everywhere.
I know we're only passing through
like the clouds in the clear blue sky,
but I've got all of these friends of mine
and a world of ways to spend this time, so...
I never wanted to be unkind or sit and cry
or seem unfaithful.
I realize that deep inside I was so grateful
Hey, I only wanted to say...
Thank you for this day etc...

Here under heaven's eyes, down under paradise,
sometimes it seems like we're so small.
Here on the shores that reach into infinity,
how could we matter much at all?
Would it be enough
if each of us would give our love?
Like sand on a mountain,
rain on a fountain,
shade on a shadow,
a breeze in this tornado,
just do what you can.
Clap with one hand
and shine all your light in the sun.
We live to learn to love. Oh, mercy from above,
amazing grace, like rain, comes falling down.
We sing our hearts to you, our song of gratitude,
the voice of every soul, how sweet the sound!
We can only trust,
all our prayers will all add up.
Heaven feels the touch
of each and every one of us.

We stood before the waving sea
and stared at vast infinity,
and praised the life that brought us here
to take our ride upon this sphere,
for when we reach the distant shore I know we'll be returning,
rich from the journey
rich from the journey.
You never know what's up ahead.
The tempest rolls and the skies are red,
but, off into the world that waits
between tomorrow and today,
to seek our fortunes and our fates, driven by this yearning,
to be rich from the journey,
rich from the journey.
... And when it's time to leave the harbor of this dream
we'll have a heart that's filled with memories.
So sail away sweet soul in peace.
Hoist your sails into the breeze.
Beneath these stars so hard to read,
Godspeed the winds that carry me
and tell my friends to look for me for soon I'll be returning,
rich from the journey
rich from the journey
rich from the journey
rich from the journey.

Sometimes I just can't believe,
I've drifted out here on this sea with no no fear
(like little children blowing bubbles in a sunny summer scene
watch a million fragile moments disappear.)
I guess I have wandered out lost and wondering about
things that I can't comprehend
(like why the moon would want to chase the sun around
just so forever never ends.)
I am so amazed
I am so amazed
I am so amazed at everything,
it makes my heart just want to laugh and sing.
Who'd have thought the world was round
standing down here hangin' out on flat flat ground.
Seems like somewhere far beyond my wildest dreams
someone's smilin' down on me.
As I watch the birds fly past, watch the clouds sweep by so fast,
I know just what I'd do.
If I could I swear I'd spread my wings and I'd
soar into that patch of blue.
I am so amazed
I am so amazed
I am so amazed at everything,
I guess it's got the best of me.
I am so amazed
I am so amazed
I am so amazed at everything,
it makes my heart just want to laugh and sing.
(Lovers walkin' down the streets, kissing lips and dancing feet, airwaves
zinging through the trees, big whales singing in the seas, Oh, just look
at all of these amazing things. I am so amazed...)

I'm going home to God's Acre
where my loved ones wait for me.
Sky of blue, grass of green,
and the morning birds will sing.
I'm going to live in the sunshine
of the clear new light of day.
No more to roam.
I'm going home, to God's acre.
I'm on my way.
There is a pathway straight and narrow
leading to the golden streets.
There is a mansion ready for me
in the valley fair and sweet.
I'm going home to God's Acre
where my loved ones wait for me
sky of blue and grass of green
and the morning birds will sing.

There's a yellow sun that's rising, rising in the east
but this is not like any one I think I've ever seen.
Something from infinity
is shining more than light on me...
Trapped inside this hourglass
the yellow sand is falling falling fast
Cupped inside the maker's hands
the suns goes slipping through like... yellow sand....
Days and days and days go by
and I close my eyes and I try to tell myself
that this is all a dream
Time goes by and I see the signs
and I know nobody else can live my life
nobody else but me.
Something from a distance speaks
calling to my memory...
Every minute ticking by
I'm closer to the reason why
and somehow now I understand that
time goes slipping through like...yellow sand
I've taken this ride ever since I can't remember when
but this is not like any place I think I've ever been.
One more chance is all I ask
just one more chance to turn this back around
Trapped inside this hourglass
the yellow sand is falling falling fast
Cupped inside the maker's hands
the time goes slipping through like... yellow sand....

A breeze drifts in and like a prayer,
it carries me and leaves me there.
The spirits speak de los milagros,
the shores of Espiritu Santo Bay.
Espiritu,
the stillness of the infinite, beautiful new world,
I hear the whispers of the souls who've come to rest upon your shores.
Beneath the waters;
the rosaries and sunken ships, the oceans gifts,
the moonlight calls them in to build an alter
to the saints of Espiritu.
Oh, wondrous world I long to be
lost in the song Sirena sings.
The endless sea washes my feet
upon the shores of Espiritu.
The spirit speaks de los milagros
the shores of Espiritu Santo Bay.

I wish I was on a train,
takin' me somewhere far away.
Where it's headed I don't care.
I could be happy anywhere.
On a big ol' train
flyin' down the track
rockin to the rhythm of the clickity clack.
Hey, engineer, make the whistle blow
holler all aboard and away we go.
Grab me up like an ol' mail sack.
No return, I won't be back.
You can just take me either way
long as it's into the light of day.
In a silver liner paradise,
I'll sit and watch the world go by,
wavin' as I'm passin' through
and I won't stop until I do.
All aboard and away we go.

Early this morning as the day began
I was sweeping on the porch.
I could hear the neighbor lady singing songs to Jesus
and the dog started barking the chorus.
I said to myself we've got a little band
and we're making a joyful noise
just like bells of joy ringing for the Lord.
Now the riverss , and the mountains, and the stars and the planets
go spinning through the sky
when God looks down on his creation
and he breaths the breath of life.
It stirs the soul of every heart
and every creature sings it's part
like bells of joy ringing for the Lord.
All God's children, God the Father
is listening from the throne.
The sigh of peace would be like a symphony
if we would all start singing that song.
We could all look to heaven and raise our voice.
That 'ol devil would look up and say what's that noise
and we'd sing bells of joy ringing ringing
Bells of joy ringing ringing
Bells of joy ringing for the Lord.
